The Depot Manager is responsible for overseeing all depot operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, sales performance, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The role is accountable for the effective receipt, storage, security, and distribution of stock while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.

The position involves supervising depot staff, coordinating stock control activities, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring the depot operates in a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment.

The Depot Manager also supports business growth by driving sales, maintaining accurate inventory records, safeguarding company assets, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities;

• Oversee daily depot operations, including stock receiving, storage, sales floor activities, and dispatch.
• Manage inventory control processes, including stock issuance and stock reconciliation.
• Supervise depot staff and coordinate security personnel management.
• Ensure depot facilities and surroundings are maintained to company standards.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Conduct daily stock counts
• Prepare and submit sales, stock, and operational reports to Head Office.
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures, including staff and security handovers.
• Safeguard company assets and stock, reporting any risks or incidents promptly.

Key Competences and skills

• Full grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma or better in Business Administration or agriculture or related field
• Must be Computer literate
• Good Communication skills.
• 2 years’ experience in marketing or administration or agriculture related fields
