Background

Mopani Copper Mines Plc in conjunction with the Technical Education, Vocational Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) are offering 6 months internship for holders of Craft Certificates up to Diploma Level Certificates in the following fields:

This offer is aimed at providing the graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on practical industrial experience at our Nkana and Mufulira mine sites.

An intern is a trainee who gains practical experience in a professional work environment while supporting the organization's day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Daily Operations: Assist the department team in executing routine tasks and projects, gaining hands-on experience in the field.
  • Learn Organizational Processes: Understand and follow the organization's policies, procedures, and work flows.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation related to departmental activities.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Report Writing: Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as required.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend departmental meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with internal and external stakeholders professionally, representing the organization positively.
  • Adherence to Policies: Comply with all organizational policies, including health, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively seek learning opportunities, ask questions, and apply academic knowledge to practical work situations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve team objectives.
  • Project Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of specific projects as assigned.
  • Feedback & Improvement: Receive constructive feedback from supervisors and use it to improve performance and skills.
