Sinomine Kitumba minerals would like to inform the general public through the Mumbwa Town Council that it will Conduct physical tests for Machine Operator Positions at Kitumba Mine on the selected days which is Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
Excavator Operator
Job Summary
The Excavator Operator will operate hydraulic excavators for digging, loading, trenching, material handling, and other mining activities while maintaining safe and productive operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently.
- Excavate, load, and move ore, waste, and other materials.
- Follow excavation plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Conduct daily machine inspections before operation.
- Monitor equipment condition and report faults promptly.
- Maintain proper excavation and loading techniques.
- Follow all mine safety, environmental, and traffic procedures.
- Record operating hours, production activities, and equipment issues.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience operating excavators, preferably in mining or construction.
- Good knowledge of excavator controls and operating procedures.
- Strong awareness of occupational health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a mining team.
- Physically fit and capable of working shifts where required.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: high school
