Gramus is seeking an experienced and dependable Human Resources Manager to oversee its human-resource operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, staff development, policy implementation and compliance with Zambian labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures.
- Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding and employee-exit processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Coordinate performance appraisals and employee-development programmes.
- Handle disciplinary matters, grievances and workplace disputes professionally.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave and general workplace conduct.
- Support payroll administration by providing accurate employee information.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian employment laws and company policies.
- Advise management on staffing requirements and other HR matters.
- Promote a positive, productive and professional workplace culture.
- Prepare regular HR reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related discipline.
- At least five years of relevant HR experience
- Sound knowledge of Zambian labour laws and employment regulations.
- Experience in recruitment, performance management and employee relations.
- Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
- Membership in a relevant professional HR body will be an added advantage.
