The Anti-Corruption Commission whose mission is to effectively prevent and combat corruption in order to promote integrity, transparency and accountability for sustainable development in Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
INVESTIGATIONS OFFICER – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – [1]
a) Job Purpose
To provide a dedicated specialist investigatory service of digital recovery to the Commission, administer Investigations software applications and provide technical support on various investigations tools.
b) Principle Accountabilities
- Undertake digital forensic investigations through the collection, preservation, extraction, decryption, analysis, and interpretation of digital evidence in accordance with ACC guidelines and procedures;
- Undertake analysis and recovery of evidence from various digital devices, systems, and internet resources, including computers, mobile devices, servers, and digital media, and present findings in a clear and legally admissible manner;
- Undertake preparation and presentation of expert reports, affidavits, and testimony in court, while providing technical advice and responding to defence expert opinions during legal proceedings;
- Serve as a technical advisor to investigators, case officers, and prosecutors by offering guidance on digital evidence, participating in case conferences, and assessing evidential strengths and weaknesses.
c) Qualifications
- Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate;
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
- Must possess a postgraduate qualification in a Science-related field with specialization in Digital Forensics;
- Valid Membership to Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ);
- Must be aged between 25 and 35 years old.
d) Skills/Attributes
- Proficient with forensic techniques and most commonly used forensics toolsets, such as EnCase;
- Excellent knowledge of the Windows operating system internals accompanied by a broad knowledge of computer and Internet architecture and protocols;
- In depth knowledge of current file systems (i.e. NTFS for Windows) and how all common operating systems store data within them;
- Familiarity with Macintosh and Linux Operating Systems;
- Familiarity with computer system hardware and software installation and troubleshooting;
- Understanding of mobile applications operating systems such as Android and iOS;
- Understanding of data recovery techniques;
- Knowledge and experience with administering Microsoft SQL Server;
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
