We are seeking an experienced and passionate SGBV Specialist to provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight for our Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) programming.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Planning and Implementation

• Lead and support the design, planning, and implementation of SGBV programmes.
• Provide technical guidance on SGBV prevention and response interventions.
• Develop, map, and regularly update SGBV referral pathways.
• Promote community-based approaches that ensure meaningful participation of women, girls, and marginalized groups.
• Support initiatives aimed at addressing harmful gender and social norms.

Technical Leadership and Quality Assurance

• Provide technical oversight to programme teams and partners.
• Ensure interventions align with survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and “Do No Harm” principles.
• Develop technical resources, tools, guidelines, SOPs, and training materials.
• Conduct field visits to monitor programme quality and provide recommendations.
• Lead capacity-building and coaching initiatives for staff and partners.

Coordination and Advocacy

• Represent MSZ in national GBV coordination platforms and technical working groups.
• Engage government institutions, development partners, and civil society organizations.
• Contribute to SGBV policies, strategies, and standards at national and sub-national levels.
• Strengthen partnerships and advocacy efforts to improve SGBV service delivery and policy implementation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Gender Studies, Public Health, International Development, Social Work, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in SGBV programming within development and/or humanitarian settings.
• Strong technical knowledge of survivor-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
• Demonstrated understanding of global SGBV standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
