IQUBE Zambia Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Weighing Scale Specialist to support its retail operations.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field.
  • Knowledge of barcode-label printing scales and POS system integration.
  • Understanding of weights and measures compliance requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication and reporting skills.

Experience needed

  • Minimum of three years’ experience supporting weighing scales in a retail environment.
  • Practical experience in installing, configuring, calibrating and repairing electronic weighing scales.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Install, configure and maintain retail weighing scales.
  • Diagnose and repair scale hardware and software faults.
  • Calibrate scales to ensure accurate weighing and pricing.
  • Configure PLUs, barcodes, labels and network connectivity.
  • Integrate weighing scales with retail POS systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain service records.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support to stores.
  • Ensure all scales comply with applicable regulatory standards.

  • Ability to diagnose hardware, software and connectivity problems.
  • Willingness to travel to different company locations when required.
