Location: Kitwe
Reports To: Senior Accountant
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in a similar role
Job Objective
To oversee accounting, sales, and marketing administration, ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and procedures while contributing to strategic financial planning and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities within the Accounting Unit.
- Monitor and appraise team performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Review, update, and implement company policies for creditors’ payments.
- Ensure OPEX, CAPEX, AP, and AR transactions comply with internal financial controls.
- Review and approve general ledger account reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both management and statutory bodies.
- Develop and submit monthly creditors’ payment forecasts to the Treasury Directorate.
- Train, coach, and mentor accounting team members for performance and professional growth.
- Address and resolve internal and external audit queries promptly.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of deduction schedules from employers.
- Provide effective leadership and direction to direct reports.s
Qualifications & Professional Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Full ZICA, ACCA or CIMA level 2
- Professional Membership
- ZICA membership is mandatory
