JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
To provide excellent customer service, drive sales of bakery products, maintain product presentation, and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and attend to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Promote and sell bakery products (bread)
- Receive, pack, and issue customer orders accurately
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, mobile money, and card payments
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and attractive display of bakery products
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock items
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally
- Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to food safety standards
- Reconcile daily sales and prepare sales reports
- Assist with receiving and arranging bakery stock from the production team
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Certificate/Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or related field will be an added advantage
- At least 2 year experience in retail sales, preferably in a bakery or food outlet
- Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good numerical skills
- Honest, trustworthy and presentable
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 24
Level of Education: associate degree
