JOB DETAILS:
Summary: Operates a Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) machine, also known as a Scoop Tram or "Boomer," to load and transport blasted rock (muck) in underground mines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an LHD to muck out blasted ore/waste from draw points and stopes.
- Haul and dump material into ore passes or onto trucks.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and basic servicing of the LHD.
- Assist with scaling loose rock and installing ground support as needed.
- Work closely with the drilling and blasting crews to ensure efficient mucking cycles.
- Maintain communication with the dispatch and control room.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating LHDs in an underground mining environment.
- Strong understanding of underground mining layout and safety.
- Ability to work in a confined, dark, and dusty environment.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
