About the Role:

Grand Tripod is urgently seeking an experienced Chinese-English Translator to work on-site at the crusher plant located in the Chief Kaindu area of Mumbwa, a mining location under the Sinomine Kitumba Minerals project. This is a hands-on, field-based role that combines language skills with leadership and coordination duties in a demanding work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a communication bridge between Chinese supervisors and local workers.
• Translate instructions and operational directives accurately and clearly.
• Assist in managing daily tasks and ensure smooth coordination at the crusher plant.
• Supervise and guide general workers, promoting efficiency and safety.
• Support cross-cultural understanding and workplace harmony.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2years’ experience working closely with Chinese personnel.
• Solid grasp of Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication practices.
• Must be a team player who can take initiative and manage site situations confidently.
• Must be sober-minded, hardworking, and a quick learner.
• Ability to work with general workers and adapt to on-site environment.
• A driver’s license is an added advantage but not required.

This is a remote location, so applicants must be prepared to live and work in a site-based environment.
