1. Regulatory Compliance
Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations (transport, labor, safety, customs)
Stay updated on changes in logistics and transport regulations
Advise management on compliance requirements
2. Policy Development and Implementation
Develop and enforce company policies and procedures
Ensure all departments follow established compliance guidelines
Review and update policies regularly
3. Risk Management
Identify potential compliance risks in operations
Develop strategies to mitigate risks
Conduct risk assessments across logistics activities
4. Monitoring and Auditing
Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections
Monitor operations to ensure adherence to policies
Investigate any non-compliance issues
5. Documentation and Record Keeping
Maintain accurate compliance records and reports
Ensure proper documentation for audits and inspections
Prepare compliance reports for management
6. Training and Awareness
Train employees on compliance policies and legal requirements
Promote awareness of ethical standards and company rules
Conduct workshops and refresher training sessions
7. Handling Legal and Ethical Issues
Investigate misconduct, fraud, or policy violations
Ensure disciplinary actions are in line with company policies and labor laws
Promote ethical business practices
8. Liaison with Regulatory Authorities
Act as a point of contact with government agencies and regulators
Ensure timely submission of required reports and licenses
Facilitate inspections and audits
9. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
Monitor environmental compliance in logistics operations
Work with safety officers to reduce workplace risks
10. Contract and License Compliance
Ensure all business licenses, permits, and contracts are valid and up to date
Monitor compliance with client and supplier agreements
11. Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption Measures
Implement controls to prevent fraud and corruption
Monitor financial and operational activities for irregularities
12. Continuous Improvement
Recommend improvements to strengthen compliance systems
Support the organization in achieving best practices
