Furaha Farms, located in Chisamba, is hiring a Dairy Herd Team Leader. If you have a strong track record in herd health, milk production, and parlour operations, and a deep passion for dairy farming-we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the health, nutrition, and productivity of the dairy herd
- Manage milking parlour operations
- Train and supervise farm workers in dairy best practices
- Herd health protocols, breeding and record-keeping
- Ensure milk quality, hygiene, and compliance
Requirements:
This is an opportunity for someone with a few years of experience who is ready to step up and lead a small team, take initiative, and grow into a bigger role as the farm grows:-
- 5 years of hands-on relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of milking parlour processes and milk handling
- Ability to lead and train farm staff effectively
- Solid understanding of dairy nutrition, breeding, and disease management
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Hardworking, ambitious, and dependable
- Focused on animal care and excellence in dairy production
- Keen to grow with a purpose-driven, values-led business
As part of our commitment to youth employment and local economic empowerment, we are particularly interested in hearing from young professionals under 35 who are passionate about agriculture.
