JOB DETAILS:
Summary: Operates light vehicles to transport personnel, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently across the mine site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate cars, trucks, and vans on mine site roads and public highways.
- Transport crew, contractors, and visitors to various site locations.
- Deliver tools, parts, supplies, and materials to designated areas.
- Perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance on vehicles (checking oil, water, tires).
- Adhere to all site traffic management rules and speed limits.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks and complete trip reports.
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean and in good working order.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license (class appropriate for vehicle).
- Clean driving record.
- Defensive driving certification is often required.
- Knowledge of mine site navigation and safety procedures.
