Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the health of all plants, trees, shrubs, and green spaces, ensuring proper watering, feeding, and fertilization.
  • Trim and shape trees and shrubs, mow lawns, weed gardens, and maintain walkways clear of debris and litter.
  • Plant and nurture new flowers, trees, and plants, maintaining their growth according to the lodge’s landscaping standards.
  • Use and maintain landscaping equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, and gardening tools.
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other plant treatments following health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform basic grounds maintenance such as grass cutting, leaf raking, emptying bins, and general upkeep of outdoor areas.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance for all outdoor guest areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues or plant health concerns to management promptly.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with a credit or better in English and Mathematics.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or garden maintenance.
  • Certification in landscaping or horticulture is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining attractive gardens.
  • Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and safe plant care practices.
