JOB DETAILS:
Summary: Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains heavy mining equipment such as haul trucks, dozers, drills, and excavators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance services (PMs).
- Rebuild and replace major components in the field or workshop.
- Accurately complete work orders and documentation for parts and labor.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and working at heights.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Trade Certification or Journeyman status as a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic.
- Several years of experience maintaining heavy mining equipment.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
