Background

The key purpose of this role is the Management of Inventory within the logistics finished goods warehouse. To guarantee all governance processes and documentation are followed and completed and to ensure that all physical movement of inventory is correctly reflected in Syspro, inventory differences investigated, resolved & reported.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all physical pre-stock take processes, print and action pre-stock take reports
  • Ensure all known adjustments are made prior to stock count
  • Ensure that the GIT account is clean prior to the start of any stock count and or any valid entries are signed off by relevant departmental managers.
  • Participate in daily/weekly/monthly stock counts of all raw materials, finished goods, empties and pallets on rotational basis
  • Print stock variance report daily and investigate all variances
  • Compile daily/weekly/monthly stock take pack and have this signed off by all relevant parties and file for safekeeping
  • Track and report all inventory in the Obsolete warehouse daily
  • Check daily all PD and SD gate registers to physical documents and final load plans and sign off that all is in order.
  • Track and report all inventory in the Obsolete warehouse daily
  • Check that all invoices are recorded in the register and signed by customers
  • Apply good waste management practices
  • Apply Good Housekeeping and 5S principles
  • Liaison with internal and external customers
  • Support team goals and VPO principles
  • Daily Stock Reconciliation
  • All Documentation signed-off by relevant persons, filed & securely stored as per Inventory Control Policy – Inventory stock packs, shipment packs, gate register, etc.
  • Conduct random verification of security cameras in key points on site
  • Conduct 3 Point independent checks on all shipments for departure & arrival – Random checks conducted to ensure compliance
  • Verify stock and delivery documentation daily.
  • Monitor stock age and rotation.
  • Monitor packaging quality
  • Stock age policy (FEFO).
  • Inventory days of cover management (OOR & OOS).
  • Manage own performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 Years’ experience in logistics and supply chain function
  • Diploma in Supply/Logistics/Accounting/Business Administration or in a related field
  • Knowledge of stock control processes
  • Computer Literate
  • MS Office
  • Attention to details
  • Strong and assertive
  • Compliance driven
  • Good verbal ability and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic: Setting and achieving goals
  • Dependable: Consistently following through
  • Good customer ethics and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Team-oriented: Making the most out of collaboration
