Mercury Lines Limited is a growing construction and logistics company focused on delivering efficient, cost-effective, and quality projects across Zambia. We are expanding our team and looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic workforce.

Position Summary:

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is eager to apply their skills and grow in the construction and project management space. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of quantity surveying principles and be willing to learn and work closely with our senior team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing project cost estimates and budgets
  • Help with measurements and valuations for project work
  • Support in the preparation of tender and contract documents
  • Conduct basic cost analysis and tracking of project expenses
  • Liaise with site teams to gather and analyze project data
  • Assist in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and timeline

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of construction contracts and methods
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and eager to learn
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with quantity surveying software is a plus
