Background

PLATINUM COURIER SERVICES is seeking motivated and skilled candidates who are prepared to contribute meaningfully to the organization.

Responsibilities

Safely loading and unloading goods, luggage, supplies, or equipment from delivery trucks, storage areas, and resort vehicles.

Carefully handling fragile, heavy, or perishable items to prevent damage or spoilage during transit.

Sorting and organizing items according to delivery schedules, department requisitions, or storage guidelines.

Operating manual handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, trolleys) safely and reporting any malfunctions.

Verifying the quantity and quality of incoming goods against delivery notes or purchase orders before acceptance.

Assisting with the stacking, arranging, and rotation of stock in warehouses, cold rooms, or storage areas using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles.

Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in loading bays, storage rooms, and surrounding work areas.

Adhering strictly to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.

Coordinating with storekeepers, procurement staff, and department heads to prioritize urgent deliveries.

Disposing of packing materials (cartons, plastic wraps, pallets) responsibly and recycling where applicable.

Reporting any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Assisting with physical inventory counts and stock-taking exercises as required.

Qualifications

Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate is required for loader positions.

A minimum of a Diploma is required for cashiers and customer service assistants.

Business and accounting courses is an added advantage.

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service role is mandatory.

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English and a commonly spoken local language
• Highly organized, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative in problem-solving
• Experience in customer service roles (customer care, direct sales, relationship management, etc.)
• Proficient computer skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to service quality
• Empathetic, patient, and capable of working effectively under pressure
