Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator / Welder to cut, shape, assemble, and weld metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and producing high-quality welds while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials using hand tools and machinery
• Perform welding using MIG, TIG, Stick, or other required welding processes
• Assemble fabricated metal components and structures
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, strength, and quality
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, presses, and welding machines
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Follow workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Repair and modify metal structures and equipment as required
• Meet production deadlines and quality standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a metal fabricator and/or welder
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding (certification preferred)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
• Ability to paint
• Strong knowledge of metal types, welding techniques, and fabrication processes
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods

Education & Experience

• High school certificate or equivalent preferred
• Technical training or apprenticeship in welding or metal fabrication is an advantage
• Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) are a plus

Working Conditions

• Workshop, factory, or construction site environment
• Exposure to heat, noise, and metal materials
• May require overtime, shift work, or on-site assignments
