We are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, coding, testing, and maintaining scalable and robust software applications that meet the needs of our business and clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web, mobile, or desktop applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development trends.
- Contribute to system architecture and design decisions.
- Document software functionality and technical processes.
Added Advantage:
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a solid portfolio showcasing your work.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 school certificate with credits in Mathematics and English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in:
– Front End: HTML, CSS3, JavaScript and frameworks like React.js, Next.js, React Native, Flutter. – Back End: PHP (Laravel), Node.js, Express.js, Java (Spring-Boot or similar).
- Proven experience as a software developer or similar role.
- Experience as a software developer or similar role.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of databases and APIs (RESTful or GraphQL).
- Familiarity and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases e.g. (MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, etc.)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
