Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
As a Steward, you will be responsible for:
1. Operating the dishwashing machine according to hotel specifications and standards to clean designated Restaurant and Kitchen wares.
2. Cleaning and maintaining equipment in the Dishwashing, Kitchen, Cafeteria, Compactor, and Storage areas.
3. Assisting in washing pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils efficiently and thoroughly.
4. Actively supporting the kitchen team by providing clean equipment in a timely manner.
5. Completing special cleaning projects as assigned by supervisors or management.
6. Ensuring proper sanitation and cleanliness standards are met throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
7. Organizing and storing clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated areas.
8. Monitoring and reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
9. Assisting with inventory management of cleaning supplies and dishwashing materials.
10. Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
11. Collaborating with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours.
12. Participating in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in kitchen sanitation and safety.
13. Maintaining a clean and organized work area throughout each shift.
14. Assisting with the disposal of waste and recyclables according to established procedures.
15. Contributing to a positive work environment by demonstrating a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications
• High School Certificate or equivalent vocational training
• Must have worked at least 6 months as a Steward in Hotels and Restaurants
• Perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling
• Strongly committed to teamwork and customer service
• Eyes for details to achieve operation excellence
