The interested candidate will be responsible for:

• The systematic supervision and patrolling of all factory boundary fences, storage areas, works, and office buildings to ensure the safekeeping of company property.
• To make recommendations to management on all matters of security regarding the company's plant, building, materials, and other property.
• Supervise the security team.
• Conduct security awareness trainings for staff
• Be conversant with the operations of the security department and enforcement of company security regulations and SOPs.
• Report daily incidents or occurrences as recorded in the occurrence book.
• Conduct investigations where necessary and submit findings in liaison with the police on theft and other serious matters.
• Check building parameters for risk areas of a security breach.
• Ensure that all security equipment is in good order and well maintained, i.e., alarms, panic buttons, fire extinguishers, and security lights.
• Ensure all entrances and exits on the work premises are secured.
• Monitor CCTV activities for any incidences.
• Ensure all security equipment is well maintained.
• Prepare departmental reports for management review.
• Updating and maintaining security procedural documents
• Carry out any miscellaneous duties and inquiries as may be required in the company’s interest.

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant diploma
• Security training from Zambia Police/Zambia army or any other security wing
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior security role
• Experience working in a manufacturing company.
• Computer Literacy, must be conversant with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent understanding of CCTV operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
