The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up the positions of lecturers in the following schools on full- time and part -time basis. The candidates should be highly motivated and passionate about making a mark in the education sector in respect of the following fields:

SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES

VACANCY: LECTURER IN PHARMACY

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent degree
• A Master’s degree Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology. (PhD holders are strongly encouraged to apply)
• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) as a Pharmacy Specialist.
• Current registration with Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA).
• Atleast 2–3 years of teaching, research, or industry experience in pharmacy practice.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curricula and innovative teaching methods.

SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

VACANCY: LECTURER IN CYBER SECURITY/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER SCIENCE (BACHELORS PROGRAMS)

Qualifications & Requirements:

Information Technology / Computer Science/Cyber Security

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security.
• A Master of Science in Computer Science or any related field.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology.
• 2-3 years industrial experience in these fields of study will be added advantage.
• At least three (3) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.

VACANCY: LECTURER IN CYBER SECURITY/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER SCIENCE (MASTERS PROGRAMS)

Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security.
• A Master of Science in Computer Science or any related field.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology.
• A PhD in this particular field will be an added advantage.
• Five (5) years industrial experience in these fields of study will be added advantage.
• At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.

VACANCY: LECTURER IN CYBER SECURITY/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER SCIENCE (PHD PROGRAMS)

Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cyber Security.
• A Master of Science in Computer Science or any related field.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology.
• A PhD in Computer Science, Cyber Security or any related field.
• Seven (7) years industrial experience in these fields of study will be added advantage.
• At least Seven (7) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

VACANCY: LECTURER – DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS

Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications from recognized Institutions;

• A Bachelor of Arts in Economics or Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance with a Merit or Better.
• A Master’s Degree in Economics.
• A PhD in Economics is highly desirable.
• A qualification in Teaching & Lecturing Methodology.
• At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.
• Five (5) years industrial experience in this fields of study will be an added advantage.

VACANCY: LECTURER – ACTUARIAL SCIENCE

Qualifications & Requirements:

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications from recognized Institutions;

• A Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science with a Merit or Better.
• A Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science.
• A PhD in Actuarial Science is highly desirable.
• A qualification in Teaching & Lecturing Methodology.
• At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.
• Five (5) years industrial experience in this fields of study will be an added advantage

SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

VACANCY: EXECUTIVE DEAN – SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications from recognized Institutions;

• Substantive academic stature with an earned PhD or equivalent professional qualification.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar capacity or senior academic level, industrial experience is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in computer application systems and databases.
• Excellent management and administrative skills.
• Unquestionable professional integrity, stature and abilities.
• Ability to function under pressure.

INTERNAL AUDITOR

To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications from recognized Institutions;

• A Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance with a Merit or Better.
• Full ACCA qualification.
• Proficiency in computer application systems and databases.
• Unquestionable professional integrity, stature and abilities
• At least 2-3 years industrial experience.
• Current registration with ZICA and any other relevant bodies.

Salary Package:

An attractive and competitive package will be offered commensurate with one’s qualifications and experience.
