VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT YATILINK YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTER

(Remote | Full-Time | Volunteer Positions)

Yatilink Youth Development Center is a Zambian nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering orphaned and vulnerable youth with life skills, education, and support for financial independence, career readiness, and overall well-being. Through leadership training, civic engagement, skills development, and entrepreneurship support, we aim to cultivate a generation of informed, empowered, and actively engaged young change makers.

We are currently seeking passionate and self-motivated individuals to join our remote volunteer team in the following volunteer full-time roles:

1. PEOPLE & OPERATIONS LEAD

Role Overview:

Supports internal systems and processes, ensuring strong human resource practices and administrative coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer engagement processes
Support staff development, reviews, and team communication
Maintain HR records and ensure policy compliance
Coordinate administrative and operational systems

Ideal Background:

Degree or equivalent experience in HR, public administration, or a related field
2+ years’ experience in HR or nonprofit operations
Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom
Membership with ZIHRM is preferred

2. FINANCE & COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Role Overview:

Manages financial systems and ensures accountability, compliance, and transparency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle bookkeeping, reconciliations, and payment workflows
Prepare reports and support budgeting processes
Ensure audit readiness and donor compliance
Offer financial insights for planning and sustainability

Ideal Background:

Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years’ experience in a finance or compliance role
Familiarity with accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
Membership with ZICA, ACCA, or CIMA is strongly encouraged

3. DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Role Overview:

Leads resource mobilization, donor engagement, and partnership-building efforts to grow Yatilink’s impact and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement a fundraising and partnerships strategy
Lead grant research, proposal writing, and reporting
Cultivate relationships with donors, CSR partners, and foundations
Oversee donor engagement events, campaigns, and impact storytelling

Ideal Background:

Degree in Development Studies, Business, International Relations, or similar
3+ years’ experience in fundraising, partnerships, or donor relations
Excellent writing, communication, and relationship management skills
Familiarity with international and local donor landscapes is a plus
