JOB DETAILS:

Background

One of our NGO clients has engaged Brilliance Executive Management Consultancy Limited (BEMCONSULT) to recruit for the listed positions, targeting candidates from Zambia's NGO sector with WASH project experience.

Job Purpose

The Project Engineer will lead the preparation and development of tender documents for technical works, lead operation and maintenance planning and implementation, and supervise works.

Summary of Key Duties:

• Advise on tendering requirements and specifications for hardware works
• Develop O&M Plans and modules
• Lead training of Village Management Committees, Care Takers and Pump Menders in O&M
• Coordinate financial training and record keeping for VMCs’ O&M activities
• Supervise project construction works
• Advise the Project Committee and Programme Committee on technology standards to adopt and practices to apply

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Water Engineering preferably civil engineering
• Must have at least a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in water and civil engineering
• Must have proven water engineering experience in WASH projects with an international NGO
