We are seeking a seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager who will be accountable for the overall sales performance of the Lusaka & Surrounds region, including revenue targets, margin targets and KGA growth targets. In particular, this individual will oversee sales operations, drive revenue growth, and manage a team of sales professionals.
This role requires strategic planning, customer relationship management, and ensuring that sales targets are met in alignment with company objectives.
Responsibilities or duties
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve company revenue targets.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Work closely with senior management to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Implement Business Development strategies to grow market share by hunting & onboarding new customers, moving into new regions and expanding sales categories to current customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective sales and service strategies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly
- Monitor sales metrics and generate reports for senior management.
- Coordinate with the logistics and procurement teams to ensure product availability.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Conduct regular sales training sessions and performance reviews.
- Set clear Goals and monitor team performance, providing feedback and coaching.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field highly advantageous.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in a sales management role, preferably in the automotive, industrial, or related supply sectors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse data and market trends for informed decision making.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferences
- Someone who is honest, reliable, and disciplined, and that is performance-driven and results-oriented.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic;
- A proven track record in sales performance;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Personal certification from the Zambia Institute of Marketing.
