Job Role
Yalelo is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Accounts Payable Intern to join our Finance team in Lusaka. The successful candidate will support the Accounts Payable function with a strong focus on reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measures.
- Assist in performing supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support the processing and verification of supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Help ensure accurate and timely posting of accounts payable transactions into the system.
- Assist in preparing payment schedules and ensuring proper supporting documentation is in place.
Requirements for the Accounts Payable Intern
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma or better in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Progress toward or membership with a relevant professional accounting body (e.g., ZICA) is an added advantage
- 0 – 2 years’ work experience
- Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and reconciliations
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills desired
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
