The Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) is a Statutory body under Ministry of Health established under the Medicines and Allied Substances Act (No. 3) of 2013, responsible for medicine regulation and allied Substances in Zambia. The Authority invites applications from suitably qualified individuals, to apply for internship opportunities under the Departments of Licensing, Surveillance and Enforcement (3), Finance (3), Human Resource & Administration (2) for a duration of Six (6) months.

INTERNSHIP PURPOSE
To help the successful candidates increase knowledge and skills through practical work experience in the pharmaceutical regulatory sector.
Person specifications and Qualifications
a) Full Form V/ Grade 12 School Certificate (including English and Mathematics)
b) Bachelor in Pharmacy
c) Bachelor of Accountancy/Finance, ACCA or CIMA (Proficient in Sage)
d) Bachelor in Records/Archives Management
Required Skills and Attributes
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good planning and organization skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Must be conversant with Microsoft packages
- Good report writing skills.
a) Greet and welcome visitors as soon as they arrive at the office; b) Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office;c) Maintain a visitor’s log and ensure they are provided with security access to the building and offices if required; d) Answer the telephone, screen, refers calls, and take messages, as appropriate, promptly, accurately, professionally and courteously, e) Perform other clerical duties such as scanning, photocopying, binding, etc: f) Provide basic office support to different units as required; g) Ensure meeting room set up has all the requirements; h) Solid written and verbal communication skills including e-mail; i) Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks; j) Perform other related duties as assigned.
