JOB DETAILS:
Background
Our client, a well-established company in the cement retail sector, is seeking a skilled Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in finance systems, compliance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and post daily transactions in ERP
- Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements
- Process payroll and ensure timely statutory deductions (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA,)
- Submit statutory returns and renew insurance policies on schedule
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support internal and external audits with timely documentation
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and financing applications
- Strengthen financial and inventory control system.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA (full or part-qualified).
- Member of ZICA
- 3–5 years' accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Zambian tax laws.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Odoo is an advantage)
