Job Title: Accounts Clerk
Location: Pebbles College International, Chilanga
Reporting to: School Director
Job Summary
The Accounts Assistant will support the school’s finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The role is key to the smooth financial operation of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers
- Process school fees, invoices, receipts, and payments
- Prepare payment vouchers and petty cash reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis
- Assist with payroll processing
- Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules
- Support budgeting and audit processes
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents (manual and electronic)
- Liaise with suppliers, parents, and staff on finance-related matters
Qualifications & Experience
- ACCA , BA in Accounts, or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role (international school experience is an added advantage)
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Understanding of statutory requirements and tax compliance
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
