Position Overview:
Tyche Global Logistics Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely financial reporting, and assisting with daily accounting operations. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with foundational accounting experience who is looking to grow within a dynamic logistics and supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Maintain and update financial records and general ledger entries
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
- Support preparation for audits and assist with tax filings
- Post journal entries and assist in closing procedures
- Help monitor budgets and financial performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- High attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
