We are looking for a seasoned Finance and Administration professional with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and corporate administration. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role overseeing all financial and administrative functions, ensuring alignment with international standards (IFRS), and maintaining close coordination with external consultants and the global finance team. Must be based in Kitwe.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Oversight

  • Supervise bank reconciliations, general ledger, and monthly closures.
    Ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with IFRS.
  • Coordinate with external consultants for tax filings, reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Oversee cost allocations, inventory registration, and provisions for clients and suppliers.
  • Lead preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and budgeting models.
    Monitor cash flow and provide strategic financial insights to support operations.

Tax & Compliance

  • Supervise ZRA tax payments, VAT, income tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax returns and filings.
  • Liaise with tax advisors and maintain best practices in compliance.

Payroll Administration

  • Supervise accurate preparation of monthly payroll and compliance with local labor laws.
  • Ensure proper tax deductions, timely payslip distribution, and staff support on payroll matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee payroll records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, financial management, and administrative functions. A background in the mining contractor industry is highly desirable.
  • A hands-on leader with the ability to supervise, manage, and mentor a team while remaining actively involved in daily accounting operations.
  • Strong and up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations, including income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, payroll compliance, and the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing tax returns.
  • Experience working with reputable consulting or accounting firms is an added advantage, along with a solid understanding of complex accounting systems and processes.
