The interested candidate will be responsible for

Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical analyses and tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
  • Monitor and control production processes to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with production team to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory tests and results
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Ensuring adherence to quality control measures and production standards, optimizing production efficiency while minimizing wastage
  • Developing and implementing production plans, ensuring timely delivery of finished products while managing inventory levels effectively
  • Evaluating production processes and identify areas for improvement, recommending and implementing enhancements to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Fostering a culture of safety and compliance with regulatory guidelines, overseeing the implementation of health and safety protocols within the production facility.

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualification and skills

  • Grade 12 school certificate, bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
  • Proven experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the alcohol industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) working in a production supervisory role within the alcohol manufacturing industry or related field
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to foster a cooperative and results-driven team environment.
  • problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders and departments.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
