Minet’s presence in Zambia dates back to 1952 when J.H. Minet Zambia Limited was established as a locally registered insurance broking and risk management company. The company was nationalized in 1976 but J.H. Minet’s involvement continued in the form of a management contract for the nationalized entity, Zambia National Insurance Brokers (ZNIB) until 1989.
In 1996, Minet reinvested in Zambia by way of a green-field operation and was acquired the following year by Aon Corporation by virtue of Aon’s acquisition of the worldwide operations of the Minet Group. As a result, the company became Aon Minet, and subsequently Aon Zambia Limited. In 2017, private equity firm, Capital works acquired Aon’s shareholding in several African operations, alongside local shareholders including governments in many markets, which has created what is now Aon’s largest Global Network Correspondent.
We are seeking highly organized and detail-oriented Staff to provide support to our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Day to day administration of claims for Corporate, Middle Markets, Bancassurance & Agriculture clients.
• Assist clients with claims submission and ensuring settlement of claims within the pre-agreed timelines.
• Guiding clients on warranties, exclusions and other pertinent policy conditions for difficult claims.
• Liaising with Insurers, Loss Adjusters and Motor assessors for all claims and ensuring timely resolution.
• Preparation of client claim reports, facilitation of claim meetings with clients and insurers as per agreed intervals.
• Maintenance of claims information in the computer business system to ensure accuracy of Loss ratios at all times.
• Assist underwriting team with claim information when called upon, i.e. claim statistics, loss ratios, claims age analysis etc.
• Managing the closure of and updating of all claims for assigned clients in the computer business system.
• Performance of all other duties incidental to the claims function within the organization.

Qualifications & Competencies
• Full Grade 12 school certificate, with at least 5 credits at ‘O’ levels
• Holder of Cert. CII/ National Diploma in Insurance (NDI)Minimum 3-4 years insurance broking experience
• Must be a Self-StarterProactive attitude and a team player with the ability to work under minimum supervision
• Should have good customer relations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong IT skills i.e. Word, Excel and Power Point
