ABOUT THE ROLE
The Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth, attract new listings, increase trading volumes, and strengthen LuSE’s market presence. You will lead market expansion initiatives, forge strategic partnerships, and champion
innovative products and services to position LuSE as a competitive and sustainable exchange in the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute business growth strategies to increase market participation and revenue.
• Build strong relationships with issuers, investors, brokers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and product innovations.
• Lead marketing and brand visibility initiatives, including events, media engagement, and digital presence.
• Conduct market research to inform strategy and anticipate trends.
• Support ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible business practices.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Master’s degree or professional qualification in finance/accounting is an advantage.
• At least 5 years’ experience in business development, marketing, or strategy, preferably in financial services.
• Strong track record in client relationship management, market development, and negotiations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

A results-oriented leader with strategic insight, creativity, resilience, and a passion for market innovation. Ability to work collaboratively, influence at senior levels, and travel as required.
