JOB DETAILS:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the final point of contact for our customers, responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while providing outstanding service that encourages repeat business. A positive attitude and a focus on customer satisfaction are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process sales transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, etc.).
• Handle cash responsibly, including counting the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Scan items, apply discounts, and bag purchases carefully.
• Answer customer questions regarding products, prices, and promotions.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Handle returns and exchanges according to company policy.
• Balance the cash drawer and prepare deposit slips at the end of the shift.
• Assist with light stocking, restocking, or store maintenance tasks as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashiering or retail experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with [mention specific POS software, e.g., Square, Shopify] is a plus.
• Multilingual abilities are an advantage.
