MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the overall advancement of diesel trading operations within Zambia;
2. Responsible for business negotiations and cooperation management with major oil suppliers and distributors;
3. Establish and maintain good relationships with the ERB (Energy Regulation Board) and relevant government agencies to ensure legal and compliant operations;
4. Coordinate logistics and customs clearance processes between procurement in Tanzania and sales in Zambia;
5. Participate in the company's oil pricing strategy, contract review, and risk management;
6. Assist the company in establishing a local team and operational systems;
7. Regularly report on market dynamics, policy changes, and competitor information.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Transport and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related field.
2. Experience in mid-to-senior level management or sales positions at major Zambian oil companies (such as Puma Energy, Total Energies, Mount Meru, Lake Oil, Dalbit, etc.);
3. At least 5 years of experience in oil trading or the energy sector, familiar with the entire process of diesel procurement, transportation, customs clearance, storage, and sales;
4. Good communication channels and experience with government departments such as the ERB, ZRA, RTSA, and the Energy Ministry;
5. Excellent business negotiation and market development skills;
6. A meticulous work style with strong execution and a high sense of responsibility
7. Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in diesel import/export projects.
8. Candidates residing on the Copperbelt are highly preferred.
