Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, e.g. public health or health sciences, internal development, administration and management. Master’s degree holders will be preferred.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in donor-funded international development or humanitarian programs. Experience with World Bank-funded projects will be preferred.
- At least 5 years in leadership positions within these programs (manager or above). Candidates with at least 3 years in the position of Chief of Party or Project Director will be preferred.
- Experience and/or training on capacity strengthening of local organizations is required.
Primary Responsibilities
The Project Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- To lead ChildFund and its consortium partners in achieving the project objectives.
- To mentor and supervise the ChildFund staff assigned to this project (approximately 8 staff in 6 countries).
- To lead the selection and management of sub-grantees and the provision of technical assistance to them.
- To represent the project with WB/GFF and major stakeholders in each targeted country.
- To lead the planning and reporting of the project activities and resource management with WB/GFF and other stakeholders.

- Knowledge of policy engagement and advocacy of CSOs towards the integration of innovations into government policies, strategies and investments.
- Knowledge of adolescent health and nutrition.
Preferred: Working proficiency in French.
