Job Purpose

Assisting clients in buying, selling, or renting properties by advising on market conditions, preparing listings, and negotiating deals.

Generating leads, market properties through various channels, showing properties to potential buyers, and handling the necessary paperwork for transactions. Agents are responsible for managing the entire process, from initial client contact to closing, ensuring all legal and contractual terms are met.

Responsibilities

Technical -

1. Lead generation /business development

2. Concluding mandates with clients

3. Overseeing marketing of assigned properties

4. Negotiating transactions on behalf of clients and giving reasonable advice to clients.

Reporting -

Providing a thorough detailed monthly report including sales, lettings and updated client details

Financial -

Invoicing and collecting sales / leasing amounts as signed up by client. Preparing annual budgets for final approval by the Head – Agency.

Job reports to Head – Agency (Residential & Farms)

Qualifications and Experience

A degree qualification in Real Estate or related field

Full membership with ZIEA

At least 3 years’ experience in relevant sales and leasing position

Competencies

Ability to forecast needs of sales and leasing

Proven time management skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication skills.

Negotiation skills.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

Financial management and basic accounting skills.

Computing skills – including spread sheets, word processing skills and CRM software

Have an understanding of various property marketing strategies.

Property Inspection skills

Report writing skills

Legal and regulatory knowledge, data analysis and interpretation of skills
