Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  •  Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure balance sheet items are reconciled.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, ensuring proper allocation and expenditure control.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Analyse revenue and expenditure trends to recommend budget adjustments.
  • Supervise financial data input and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets.

Credit Management:

  • Assess and process loan applications, ensuring compliance with credit policies.
  • Evaluate clients’ financial status and creditworthiness.
  • Monitor loan disbursements and ensure timely repayments.
  • Maintain updated records of loan applications and repayments.
  • Analyse risks and recommend strategies to minimize non-performing loans.

Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the institution’s loan portfolio, ensuring diversification and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and provide performance reports to management.
  • Develop strategies to grow the loan portfolio while maintaining quality.

 Customer Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Provide guidance to clients on loan products and repayment plans.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit and financial management, preferably in the Banking & Financial Services Sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • High ethical standards and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or ZICA (preferred).
