Responsibilities or duties
The key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for strategic planning and implementation of all programmes in line with the Foundations objectives, MTN Group CSI Policy and Directives.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, prepare the reports and oversee the monitoring and evaluation process.
- Responsible for financial management of all the Foundation activities and track budget performance and reporting.
- Responsible for fundraising from potential donors and partners as well as maintaining good stakeholder relationships with various stakeholders.
- Supervise and oversee the work of the Foundation Specialist and maintain oversight interactions with digital media and creative advertising agencies, collaborating to develop strategies and media content that distinguish the MTN Zambia Foundation in the market.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure the Foundation’s projects are highlighted on the MTN Zambia website.
- Coordinate and provide administrative support to the Board Secretary and the General Manager - Corporate Services to ensure effective communication between the Foundation and the Board.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports as well as annual reports.
- Manage the documentation of all Foundation activities and archive them for future reference.
- Maybe required to support MTN Zambia Yello Care activities and any communications and CSI activities.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Degree in Development Studies, Project Management or any humanities and social science field
- Master’s degree in development studies or project management is an added advantage.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital media management and social media platforms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Experience needed
- At least 7 years proven experience working with donor agencies or community-based organisations or Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO).
- Experience in project management and coordination.
- Experience in fund raising, budget management and financial reporting.
