REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting: Operations Manager
Location: Kalumbila Northwestern Province.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health, safety and environmental policies in accordance with state and company guidelines.
- Creating and updating procedures, and programs related to health, safety, and environmental management
- Organizing and delivering safety training programs for employees to ensure they are aware of hazards and safe work practices
- Conducting regular audits to assess the effectiveness of HSE programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and developing preventative strategies
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to health, safety, and the environment.
- Leading emergency response initiatives and conducting investigations after incidents to establish causes and preventive measures.
- Keeping accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incidents, and training
- Maintaining current knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements related to health, safety and environmental matter that impact the organization.
- Communicating with various stakeholders, including employees, management, regulatory agencies, and contractors, on HSE-related matters.
REQUIREMENTS
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum 5 years of HSEQ experience in fuel transportation, logistics, or dangerous goods environments.
- Suitably qualified applicants must provide certificates which have been verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZQA)
