Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Manager to join our team in Livingstone, Zambia. As the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth in this vibrant tourist destination.
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of hospitality professionals across all departments
- Oversee daily operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance all other departments
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
- Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control measures
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute promotional initiatives
- Maintain compliance with local regulations and industry standards
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, staff, and local community partners
- Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge
- Implement and oversee staff training programs to enhance skills and service quality
- Manage inventory and procurement processes to optimize operational efficiency
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or in a similar senior hospitality role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage services
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Proficiency in hotel management software and property management systems
- Knowledge of local hospitality industry trends
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Fluency in English
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving customer satisfaction
