We are looking for a polished, guest-focused, and service-driven Receptionist to join our Front Office team at Grand Palace Hotel.

This role is central to delivering a seamless first impression, ensuring efficient guest check-ins and check-outs, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality.

You will also serve as the main point of contact for guests, handling inquiries with professionalism and ensuring their needs are met throughout their stay.

Position Overview

As Receptionist, you will:

  • Welcome and check-in guests with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Manage guest arrivals, departures, and special requests.
  • Provide accurate information on hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with Housekeeping, Reservations, and other departments.
  • Handle guest concerns with empathy, urgency, and effective problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and complete registration processes in line with hotel standards.
  • Process check-outs, payments, and billing accurately and efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Update and maintain guest records in the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Liaise with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready prior to guest arrivals.
  • Promote hotel amenities, services, and special offers to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain the reception area in a professional and welcoming manner at all times.
  • Handle guest complaints and service recovery promptly, escalating where necessary.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, team-oriented workplace.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hotel front office or customer service role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Property Management Systems (Opera, Protel, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional grooming and presentation, with a warm and approachable manner.
  • Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and manage busy shifts.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest service.
