We are looking for a detail-oriented, professional, and resourceful individual to be the first point of contact for our investors, while managing and curating the company’s investor lead database. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, communication, and compliance, supporting a listed organisation’s investor engagement at a national level.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Communication Handling
- Respond to inbound inquiries via email, IPO website form, in-app chat, WhatsApp, and selected phone calls.
- Provide accurate, pre-approved responses drawn from the official FAQ, prospectus, and IR team briefings.
- Escalate complex or sensitive questions to the IR manager or compliance officer.
Lead Curation & Database Management
- Log every inbound inquiry into the investor database/CRM, including name, contact details, source, and inquiry type.
- Maintain and regularly update the lead list for targeted follow-up and investor communications.
- Categorise leads (e.g., retail investor, HNW investor, institutional) to help segment communications.
- Identify patterns in leads and report trends to IR leadership.
Information Distribution
- Send pre-approved updates, event reminders, or deadlines to segmented investor lists.
- Coordinate with marketing/IR to push important updates via app notifications, WhatsApp broadcasts, or email campaigns.
Compliance & Record-Keeping
- Ensure all communications are compliant with capital markets regulations.
- Keep secure, confidential records of all investor contact and communication history.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong communication skills (clear, concise, professional tone in writing and verbally).
- Financial literacy to explain capital market processes without giving personal investment advice.
- CRM proficiency (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) for lead tracking and segmentation.
- Data management skills — meticulous in logging, tagging, and updating contact records.
Experience (ideal but can train the right candidate)
- Prior experience in financial services customer support, investor relations support, or corporate communications.
- Familiarity with stock market processes (especially the Lusaka Securities Exchange or other regional exchanges).
- Experience in a regulated environment (banking, insurance, telecoms) where compliance is critical.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is ZMW 8,000 – ZMW 12,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, industry background, and past earning history.
