Job Summary
The Loan Officer & Client Acquisition Representative will be responsible for sourcing new loan customers, evaluating loan applications, and managing loan disbursement and repayments. This role combines sales, marketing, and finance, requiring someone who is proactive, trustworthy, and able to build strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Marketing
- Identify and approach potential clients in person, online, or through referrals.
- Promote B7 Loans services in communities, markets, workplaces, and social media.
- Build and maintain relationships with regular and new customers.
- Educate customers about loan options, requirements, and repayment terms.
- Meet weekly and monthly targets for new clients and disbursed loans.
Loan Processing & Management
- Receive and review loan applications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Verify and record collateral details (phones, laptops, etc.) and determine fair value.
- Assess client eligibility and ability to repay the loan.
- Prepare and manage loan agreements and other necessary documents.
- Track repayments, follow up on overdue loans, and manage loan recovery.
- Maintain accurate records of issued loans, repayments, and outstanding balances.
- Submit daily or weekly financial reports to management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong communication, persuasion, and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of financial principles and loan processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and record-keeping tools.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Honest, reliable, and professional in handling cash and client information.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in microfinance, sales, or customer acquisition is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with the local market and lending environment in Zambia
