JOB PURPOSE
To facilitate, schedule and coordinate various Airtel Money products and market research activities & analysis to gain key insights about our customers, impact of marketing campaigns and general industry trends.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
- Gather transactional, product, marketing, agent/merchant and customer data from multiple systems into a usable format.
- Work with the IT, Operations or Business Intelligence teams to ensure data pipelines are valid, timely and complete.
- Maintain data integrity, ensuring appropriate data cleaning, transformation and reconciliation.
- Produce regular MI reports (daily, weekly, monthly) covering KPIs for Airtel Money products/services: e.g., active customers, transaction volumes/values, agent activity, churn, acquisition.
- Develop dashboards / visualisations for business stakeholders (commercial, product, operations).
- Ensure reports are accurate, delivered on time, and include narrative commentary
- Develop short-term and long-term forecasting models for metrics like customer growth, transaction value volume, revenue.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:
- Relevant University degree preferably from a business or IT discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel, ability to work with large data sets (and preferably experience with BI tools and SQL).
- Business acumen: ability to translate numbers into business implications.
- Good communication skills (verbal & written), stakeholder management.
- Understanding of telecom / mobile money / financial services business environment is a plus.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 2 years MI Reporting experience
- Market Research tools/Methodologies
- Statistical knowledge and understanding
- Excellent and effective communications skills, both orally and in writing
- Excellent presentation skills
- Good knowledge of all products within a product family
- Good level of knowledge of market trends.
- Basic knowledge and use of technical principles, theories and concepts.
