Key Responsibilities
Our successful Maintenance Managers will:
- Oversee all hotel engineering and maintenance operations.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, generators, and water systems.
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards and statutory regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, fire drills, emergency response planning, and safety training.
- Implement and maintain OMS documents, SOPs, checklists, and engineering logs.
- Lead asset management, equipment lifecycle planning, and annual maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and manage hotel energy consumption (electricity, water, gas, fuel).
- Supervise contractors and coordinate specialized repairs and service agreements.
- Provide leadership to the engineering team, including training, performance management, and staff scheduling.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues affecting guest experience.
- Prepare monthly engineering reports, maintenance trends, budgets, and operational updates.
- Ensure quick response to guest complaints and operational maintenance requests.
- Support sustainability initiatives and cost-reducing maintenance strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a similar establishment.
- Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
- Very good interpersonal skills.
- Highly innovative and artistic.
- ZAQA validated and certified copies of academic and professional certificates required for successful candidates.
