Key Responsibilities

Our successful Maintenance Managers will:

  • Oversee all hotel engineering and maintenance operations.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, generators, and water systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, fire drills, emergency response planning, and safety training.
  • Implement and maintain OMS documents, SOPs, checklists, and engineering logs.
  • Lead asset management, equipment lifecycle planning, and annual maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor and manage hotel energy consumption (electricity, water, gas, fuel).
  • Supervise contractors and coordinate specialized repairs and service agreements.
  • Provide leadership to the engineering team, including training, performance management, and staff scheduling.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues affecting guest experience.
  • Prepare monthly engineering reports, maintenance trends, budgets, and operational updates.
  • Ensure quick response to guest complaints and operational maintenance requests.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and cost-reducing maintenance strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a similar establishment.
  • Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
  • Highly innovative and artistic.
  • ZAQA validated and certified copies of academic and professional certificates required for successful candidates.
