Responsibilities or duties

JOB PURPOSE

To provide financial planning, analysis, reporting, and cost control support through preparation of accurate management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses to support informed decision-making.

KEY RESULT AREAS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Review weekly cashflow and monitor budget adherence.
• Cost Control & Inventory Management
  • Monitor mining costs, fuel, spares, and raw materials.
  • Oversee inventory management and stock reconciliations.
• Procurement Oversight & Risk Management
  • Provide financial oversight of procurement processes.
  • Identify process weaknesses and recommend improvements.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or ZICA)
• Valid relevant professional membership
• Full grade twelve certificate
• Strong knowledge of Zambian accounting standards and tax laws
• Academic and professional qualifications verified by ECZ & ZAQA

Experience needed

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in financial accounting and reporting

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
